Have you ever been stuck and can’t make a decision to where you want to go? You could of been thinking about quitting that terrible job and going after a different career path more suited to your passion. Or you’ve been hanging around particular people who you know are not healthy for you but you still do it anyway. You could also be in a toxic environment and you know that you can change it but you won’t.
It’s times like this, you reach a fork in the road. You can either continue doing what you’re doing or you tread a different path. This different path tends to be your inner calling. You know that deep down inside, what is right for you. This is your instincts.
You know that you shouldn’t be in that toxic relationship but you still hang around anyway. You know that you should quit that terrible job and pursue something else. You know that you shouldn’t hang out with those negative people who are pulling you down. However, as always, your instincts are always right. Your instincts just know what you need to do and often at times, when we ignore it, we pay the price.
Trusting your instincts is not easy. That little voice inside our heads tends to be diluted with all the noise and distractions in the world. Yet it’s the voice that we should listen to.
I started trusting my instincts only a few years ago. Throughout my early adult life, I’ve always had that little voice that directed me to the right direction. However I never really trusted it and just went with the flow. Years later, looking back, I can clearly see that my instincts were right. I regretted making the decisions that I made in the past and I should of trusted my instincts.
These days, I’m so attuned with my instincts that I trust it in a daily basis. Because I’ve formed this strong trust with it, I can easily see how things will unfold around me. It’s like I can predict the future short term.
So basically what I’m trying to say is that if you have that inner voice inside you that’s telling you what you should be doing, you should learn to trust it and take a leap of faith. I know it’s scary and the path you choose contains a lot of uncertainty but if you learn to trust your instincts and make it to the other side, you’ll look back and realise that your instincts were right.
Overtime, you’ll build confidence and more trust in your instincts and it will be your beacon in life. You’ll automatically select pathways lead by your instincts and you’ll live a more self fulfilling life.
When in doubt, just go with your instincts.
Stay Strong and Be Relentless.
