How To Generate Massive Momentum in Business

There are certain points in your business life when you encounter massive momentum. This is the situation when you’re “in the zone” or you’re just producing a ton of work. You’re unstoppable and you’re just a force of nature. You’ve spent a long period of time building up your work flow, your discipline, your output and then all of a sudden, you reach a certain point of momentum.

Personally I’ve encountered this with my online business. I’ve spent a long period of time building up content for my site, day in day out. Things are rather slow, traffic is slowly picking up and then boom, I’m receiving a surge in traffic, enquiries and more. Even sports players out there have these periods in their game.

The first half of the game, things start to pick up. However, the team reaches a momentum period where they are scoring without even thinking or strategising. This is where they’ve hit momentum and you just go with it.

So what happens when you reach momentum in business? You just go with it. All the hard work you’ve put in, you’ve now entered warp speed and you just go with it and keep producing more output.

I’ve witnessed this in fitness as well. For example, you may find yourself looking in the mirror and realising you’ve gained weight. You then decide to start a new diet and workout program. You try the program, you do the dieting and after a month, you don’t see any results.

Things are really slow and the process is discouraging. However, if you keep at it by working out, eating clean for a longer period of time, one day you’ll wake up and look in the mirror and notice you’re a lot leaner. After several months of hard work, you now see a result from your efforts and this motivates you to continue on.

If you continually stick to it, you’ll end up with six pack abs to die for. This is where you’ve hit momentum where you no longer thinking about whether you should work out or not, you just do it without thinking about it. It becomes your life style. You could be at work working till 9pm and then when you get home, you have dinner and then do your workouts at 11pm at night with no hesitation.

Just go with it. Momentum is a great place to be but it’s only reserved for the ones who work hard towards it.

Once you reach a point of momentum, be careful not falling off the wagon. Once you fall off the wagon, your speed reduces back to zero and then you have to work extremely hard again. Try to imagine momentum as a steam train. It takes a tremendous amount of energy to build up the speed of this train but once it’s moving at a certain rate, it becomes unstoppable.

Whether it’s writing in your blog, exercising, working on your business, keep working everyday to build up that momentum. Once you get there, don’t stop and just go with it. Stay on the train.

Stay Strong and Be Relentless.
