Don’t Waste Time On The Wrong Education

I just finished attending a seminar hosted by a person I would rather not name. Being incredibly busy with so many projects and seeing true value in an hour everyday, I decided to attend a seminar that seemed worthwhile of learning.

When I attended this seminar, I sat down and the speaker spent nearly an entire hour talking about himself and not giving any real value to the audience. It seemed that the speaker just wanted attention from the audience.

I was incredibly frustrated because not only there was no content in the presentation, he wasted my time. Time I could of spent working on my blog, creating content, building a product, building my online business, writing a book, editing podcasts, interviewing someone etc.

Being an online entrepreneur, you’re involved in so many creative projects that take up time and you really understand how valuable time is. So when I walked out of the seminar after an hour, I felt cheated. Money can always be made back but I can never get my time back. I walked away thinking about all the great things I could of done with that time.

So if you ever feel that you’re wasting time on something, don’t hesitate to stop and walk out. As Seneca said in his book “The Shortness of Life”, people tend to hold onto their money but freely give away their time which is scarce.

If you’re not enjoying a movie, just walk out and do something else. If you’re not enjoying a book, stop and read another one. If you’re not enjoying a seminar, get up and walk out.

Don’t be afraid of protecting your most valuable resource which is your time, a piece of your life.

By practicing this, you gain more self respect and having more time to do what you love.

Stay Strong and Be Relentless.
