Do What You Love And You’ll Meet Some Amazing Likeminded People Along The Way

I would like to share with you something I’ve learnt since I’ve launched this website. YouBeRelentless has only been around for 9 months and the idea around it was to do something I loved to do which was write about things that I’m passionate about which was personal development, business, success and motivation.

The bulk of my time was mostly spent on doing things that were purely for the money. I used to manage a large account where I was responsible for bringing revenue into the company and looking after key brand managers that would produce millions over the course of a few years. It was a huge responsibility but also highly stressful at the same time.

Taking a page from Grant Cardone’s advice on getting rich, you have to do things you hate in order to make money and ultimately have enough to “buy your way in” to financial freedom. For example, if you worked in a job you hated for several years but you were diligent enough to save for a deposit for a property that produced positive cashflow, then you bought your way into financial freedom.

This was my strategy. Do things you hate just for the money and in a few years, you’ll become financially free with the amount of cash you’ve saved up.

However there was a huge draw back to this strategy. Although it’s successful financially wise, you’re unsuccessful socially wise. You see, when you do things you hate, it changes you. You become miserable for a long period of time and it becomes a habit. Ultimately, you are being inauthentic with your true self.

If you’re not authentic with your true self, you’re leading a double life and projecting this fake image.

People will meet you while you have this fake image and you’ll attract incongruent people in your life. Over time, you’ll build a network of people who don’t really jive with you and your true passions.

Meeting Likeminded People

So since I started this website several months ago, I wanted to meet like minded people who were also into success, motivation, personal development and more. It’s actually pretty hard finding people like this in Australia for if you turn on the TV, look at social media and read articles, no one is talking about this stuff, rather they talk about events and the latest gossip on people.

It’s actually frustrating when you’re trying to improve yourself by surrounding yourself with positive material and there seems to be no support around you.

Anyway, by investing a few hours each day into doing what I love which was writing and sharing great motivational / inspirational articles, over time I started meeting some really amazing likeminded people that I never knew existed before.

I started meeting people who were goal oriented, who made the choice of avoiding the negative and working hard on the positive. I met people who were ambitious and wanted to do some amazing things with their lives. I met people who loved learning and always trying to improve themselves. I’ve met conscious people who are influencing the world in a better way and they have introduced me into their positive circles as well.

All this occurred simply because I followed my passion and did what I loved to do. I was authentic and as a result of that, I attracted authentic positive people in my life which continually increases.

This discovery is so amazing. When you do what you love to do, you are happy because the work is meaningful for you. You summon the natural energy for you to do the work into the early hours of morning because you love it. As a result of this, you meet people who are also like minded and you continually share knowledge and do work with them which also adds to your love factor.

I never saw this coming to be honest.

We live in a world surrounded by zombies. People who are not following their true desires and giving up their dreams. I do believe that we have to do crap work to help pay the bills but ultimately we want to get to a point of our lives where we are doing the things we love full time and still cover all our needs.

Finally another realisation I would like to share with you is that I have earned some money from this venture so far. I’ve made money from the selling of my books, affiliates and advertising. Although it’s not much but it’s still money. But do you want to know what’s the thing I value the most? It’s meeting all these great people online who are doing the same thing and sharing positivity to the world. Knowing these people are out there gives you great confidence and strength in continuing to do what you love, and that makes all the difference.

Stay Strong and Be Relentless.
